Instead let's talk about toothbrushes. Yes. Really. Just hang in for a minute and you'll see ...
There is indeed a relationship between toothbrushes and consciousness.
Several months ago there was a big media push – and a concomitant spreading awareness – on how horrible plastics are for the environment and, even, our bodies.
If you went to the toothbrush display at your local drug store during that period, you saw that virtually every toothbrush manufacturer had come out with an alternative to plastic toothbrushes. But if you go to that same display now, you see that the old toothbrushes are mostly back, with merely one or two alternatives hanging in there. This is discouraging! And you might ask yourself, as I did: What good has my buying an alternative toothbrush done? Zillions of people are clearly still buying plastic ones. Have I made any difference at all in the world? For the environment? For my own body?
But thinking like this, just puts you in a hole. It makes you depressed about the state of the world. It makes you think you can do nothing. To counteract that here is my ‘pot of soup’ theory of the universe:
Think of the world as we know it as a huge pot of soup. When you throw in a handful salt, the whole pot gets saltier. It tastes better. And that is what we are, each of us as an individual, in relation to consciousness as a whole. We are the salt – regardless of whether we have simply purchased a more sustainable toothbrush or made a major positive change in the way we live our lives.
Decisions like this represent a change in consciousness – and even a seemingly small change affects the whole. You are the salt. Even your smallest decision to do what is good and right and true brings about a transformation in cosmic consciousness – the cosmic Oneness that connects us all.
Evidence that Consciousness is Expanding Around the Globe!
